PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

The general policy for personal data protection outlines the objectives and the overall security framework for the personal data of customers using the products and services of Oxylane.

This document defines the points applying only to personal data, whether processed centrally and shared by different client subsidiaries or processed within a single subsidiary.

In this document, the term "user" refers to any person with personal information held in one or more of the Oxylane's databases.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Ensure the best possible protection of personal data to meet required confidentiality and availability standards, whilst adhering strictly to legislation in force in different countries
  • Communicate to users that Oxylane has a policy regarding personal data protection

1. FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

  • Each user controls their personal data
  • Oxylane's openness with regards the use and flows of user personal data

2. NATURE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

  • Oxylane collects, exports and uses personal data subject to the user being informed and giving his prior consent, after registering with the local data protection authorities when local regulations require it
  • Collection of data is linked to an order for products or services, online credit application, request for information, subscription to any direct marketing service, participation in a competition or any survey, or even a response to a job offer
  • The data collected may vary depending on the subsidiary collecting the information: name, address, telephone number, email, financial details, usernames, passwords, billing and transaction information, favourite products and services, favourite sports practices, training and professional experience, or personal and/or professional interests
  • Data is also collected when a user visits a subsidiary's website: web tags, cookies, built-in web links or other standard tools allowing the collection of commonly-used data such as the type of browser and user language, access times, referring website address, IP address, user browsing habits (pages viewed, links clicked, etc)
  • Data may also be collected through commercial sources outside the Oxylane network.

3. USE OF COLLECTED DATA

The data collected by Oxylane has the following objective:

  • to enable a transaction in order to place on order
  • to provide information on our products and/or services
  • to communicate new services and benefits
  • to send out promotional offers
  • to select content to be communicated to users
  • to personalise some websites to our users
  • to enable participation in competitions

Details regarding bank cards are only used for payment and are only used to these ends by our financial services providers or by Oxylane. They are only retained during the period required for the service to be provided, except with your specific authorisation that these details be retained for future purchases.

4. SHARING AND TRANSFER OF COLLECTED DATA

Unless otherwise indicated, Oxylane does not loan, sell or transfer its users' personal data to companies outside the network.

All of the member companies of the network are available at the following address: http://www.oxylane.com

Supervised transfer of user personal data may however take place in collaboration with suppliers and service providers with the intention of providing complete customer solutions to its users (bank card processing, despatch, customer services, etc). All of the third party partners of Oxylane are bound by contractual agreement to guarantee confidential processing of users' personal data. Oxylane network companies are liable to take part in marketing campaigns with other companies. Some of these campaigns offer the opportunity of sharing of personal information between one of the Oxylane subsidiaries and other third party companies taking part in the campaign.

In addition, Oxylane undertakes not to share any user data with third parties of Oxylane without the user's prior consent, except in the following cases:

5. DATA COLLECTED FROM PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18

Oxylane actively encourages parents and/or any legal guardians of persons under the age of 18 to control their access to the internet.
